Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Rochelle, IL

Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active SLP license for the state of Illinois
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Passion for facilitating student growth and advocating for their needs
Responsibilities:
- Assess and identify speech and language disorders in students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Provide direct therapy services individually or in small groups
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation for compliance and reporting
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student review processes
- Offer resources and support to families, helping them understand strategies to use at home
