Speech Language Pathologist Jobs-Decatur, Alabama area
A premier school district in the Decatur, Alabama area is actively seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join its team for the upcoming school year. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside a collaborative multi-disciplinary team while supporting students across a variety of educational settings.
Both Full-Time and Part-Time candidates will be considered. Clinical Fellows (CFYs) are highly encouraged to apply.
Position Highlights
Schedule: Full-time (37.5 hours/week) or flexible Part-time schedules available.
Format: W-2 Contract for the full school year.
Caseload: Flexible assignments (Elementary, Middle, or High School) tailored to district needs and your clinical strengths. These will be discussed during the interview process.
Environment: Supportive, well-resourced district team with mentorship available for CFYs.
Primary Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and hearing evaluations.
Develop and implement creative, individualized therapy plans.
Formulate measurable IEP goals and meticulously monitor student progress.
Participate actively in IEP meetings and collaborate closely with families, teachers, and administration.
Maintain accurate, compliant documentation in accordance with Florida educational standards.
Qualifications
Active Alabama Speech-Language Pathologist license
ASHA CCC-SLP preferred; enthusiastic Clinical Fellows (CFs) welcome to apply.
Previous school-based or pediatric experience is a major plus.
Strong collaboration, communication, and adaptability skills.
Positive professional references from the past two years.
