This full-time, contract position involves a 37.5-hour workweek, with therapy sessions scheduled Monday through Thursday and Fridays reserved for assessments.
Key responsibilities include delivering individualized speech-language therapy services, managing a caseload currently averaging 58 students—which includes approximately 9 primary-level students—and collaborating with a partnering SLP to divide caseloads efficiently. The position operates within a school day starting at 7:45 AM CST, with para support available to assist in student transitions to therapy sessions.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working within school settings, ideally with familiarity in virtual therapy methods
- Active Alabama licensure and knowledge of Alabama state laws regulating educational services preferred
- Proficient case management skills and experience with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), preferably utilizing PowerSchool software
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively to manage caseloads effectively
