As a contract Speech-Language Pathologist, you will make a real difference in the lives of 40–55 students, fostering communication skills and supporting their educational journey in an onsite environment.
Skills and Experience Sought:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Prior experience as a school-based SLP, preferably with students on the autism spectrum
- Demonstrated proficiency conducting assessments, developing and implementing IEPs, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
- Strong ability to track progress and adjust specialized interventions
- Excellent written/verbal communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding professional ethics
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services for students with ASD, focusing on speech, language, and communication goals
- Complete comprehensive evaluations and deliver evidence-based interventions within an educational framework
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with staff and families
- Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to multidisciplinary team decisions, and provide professional guidance to staff
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and report on outcomes, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations
- Cultivate an inclusive, positive, and supportive environment for diverse learners
