As a Speech-Language Pathologist in a school-based ASD setting, you'll collaborate onsite with a multidisciplinary team to provide essential speech and language services for a caseload of 40-55 students. Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold an active Speech-Language Pathologist license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Demonstrated experience working in a school environment, especially with ASD populations
- Strong understanding of developing and implementing IEPs tailored to individual student needs
- Familiarity with evidence-based intervention strategies for children with ASD
- Clear written and verbal communication skills to engage with students, parents, and educators
- Collaborative approach, adaptable to various student needs and interdisciplinary team settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy services to students within the ASD program
- Conduct assessments, write evaluation reports, develop and update IEPs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student progress and goal attainment
- Track and document all therapy sessions, maintaining accurate student records and data
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing team discussions regarding intervention strategies
