Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited university
- Valid Michigan SLP license required (essential for both onsite and remote roles)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Previous school-based experience preferred
- Experience with teletherapy platforms is a plus for remote candidates
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable collaborating with other educators and working with students from diverse backgrounds
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech, language, and communication assessments and therapy for students on-site or via teletherapy
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) targeting student-specific goals
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to monitor student progress and adjust programs
- Maintain accurate, timely records in compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines
- Consult with team members and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Utilize technology and digital resources effectively for delivering remote services, if working in a teletherapy capacity
