A school-based opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide essential speech and language support to students from Pre-K through 6th grade. This onsite role offers a contract position starting in January through the end of the school year, with the potential for a three-day workweek that could expand to full-time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy services to students across Pre-K to 6th grade
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to students’ unique communication needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school policies and procedures
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development related to speech-language pathology services

Qualifications:

  • Valid certification in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) or certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
  • Experience working with school-aged children, especially within a Pre-K to 6th grade setting
  • Knowledge of school-based speech and language evaluation and intervention techniques
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to work onsite in Daphne, AL, with flexibility for part-time or potentially full-time hours
