Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license issued in Texas
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFs) are welcomed and encouraged to apply
- Experience or interest in school-based therapy, particularly at the elementary level
- Willingness to supervise if holding CCCs (mentorship responsibilities may be required)
- Strong organizational skills for managing a caseload of around 60 students
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and adjust between one or two school sites as assignment requires
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality speech and language therapy to students, focusing on articulation, language development, fluency, and social communication
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Complete assessments, progress reports, and documentation in compliance with school and regulatory standards
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student outcomes
- Provide mentorship and clinical supervision for CFs as needed, ensuring growth of emerging professionals
This contract runs from early August through early June of the following year, offering a stable, full-time schedule of 40 hours per week along with meaningful student impact. The role is primarily based at a single elementary school, with occasional collaboration across a second site depending on student needs.
