Speech-Language Pathologist in Cumming, GA
A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for maternity leave coverage from early to mid-March through the end of the 2025-2026 school year, concluding on May 22, 2026. This full-time contract role is located in the northern Atlanta area, specifically serving one elementary school in either Acworth or Woodstock, GA.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy services to elementary-aged students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs and evaluations.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other education professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies.
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate effectively with the school team.
Qualifications:
- Active Georgia Department of Education certification in speech-language pathology.
- Valid Georgia SLP license.
- Experience working with elementary-aged children in a school setting preferred.
- Commitment to full-time hours, Monday through Friday, totaling 37.5 hours per week.
- Ability to serve one school location in either Acworth or Woodstock.
- Maternity leave coverage requiring availability for the duration of the contract.
- Note: Positions are not open to Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs).
