Make a meaningful difference by providing expert speech-language services to students in a supportive school setting. Work in-person for 9-10 hours each week as a key part of the student support team. In this contract position, you’ll help ensure more individualized attention by assisting with caseload demands and lightening the load for the staff SLP. Collaborate with educators and families to help students achieve their communication goals and contribute to a nurturing and positive learning environment.

Desired background and skills:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP), or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
  • Valid state licensure or ability to obtain prior to start
  • Experience in school-based settings or pediatrics preferred
  • Knowledge of IEP process and student documentation standards
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to evidence-based, student-centered care

Key duties and contributions:

  • Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in alignment with IEPs
  • Deliver therapy sessions in-person to meet student needs and goals
  • Document progress and maintain detailed case notes in accordance with school protocols
  • Consult and coordinate with staff SLPs, teachers, and families to foster student success
  • Contribute innovative strategies to address caseload needs and student challenges
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions as needed
