School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Universal City, Texas
Step into a rewarding role as a Speech Language Pathologist and make a meaningful impact supporting students during a maternity leave assignment for the first nine-week period of the school year. This opportunity offers an engaging contract position serving two schools in the area, beginning August 17, 2026, through October 9, 2026. You will enjoy a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, working directly onsite and collaborating with dedicated school professionals.
Bring your expertise as an ASHA-certified SLP (CCC) and help guide a bilingual SLPA through effective supervision. Bilingual skills are needed and add tremendous value in supporting diverse student needs. While new graduates (CFYs) will be considered—with supervision provided—the district prefers experienced professionals who are comfortable managing services independently.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, active professional license in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC required)
- School-based SLP experience with diverse caseloads preferred
- Bilingual proficiency required
- Willingness to supervise a bilingual SLPA, providing direction and support
- Ability to complete credentialing, including fingerprinting and background check
- Flexibility to schedule a prescreen interview, available mornings (9–11 a.m.) or afternoons (2–3 p.m.) EST, with additional flexibility as needed
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language services to K-12 students onsite
- Develop and implement appropriate IEPs and therapy plans
- Collaborate closely with school staff, families, and other providers
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports
- Provide supervision and mentorship to a bilingual SLPA
