School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Pearland, Texas
Make a difference for young learners by providing expert speech-language pathology services to elementary students. This contract position offers a unique blend of in-person and remote work, supporting a diverse caseload at an elementary campus just off Highway 288. You'll work with approximately 60 students—including those in intervention, ECSE, self-contained K-4 classrooms, and a behavioral support program—helping each child reach their full communication potential.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current CCC-SLP credential required
- Valid state licensure to practice speech-language pathology in Texas
- Minimum of one year of prior school-based SLP experience (required)
- Familiarity with TX school processes is highly preferred
- Ability to manage a dynamic caseload and adapt to evolving student needs
- Strong communication and collaborative skills for working with diverse teams
- No clinical fellowship applicants at this time
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to elementary students
- Design and implement individualized IEPs based on student strengths and needs
- Conduct progress monitoring, assessments, and comprehensive documentation
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, intervention teams, and support staff to ensure holistic student growth
- Communicate regularly with families and caregivers
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and contribute to student eligibility processes
