Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid SLP - CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology)
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure in speech-language pathology
- Previous experience working within elementary (K-5) school settings is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication abilities for collaborating with faculty, families, and other professionals
- Commitment to evidence-based practices and culturally responsive services
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess students’ speech, language, and communication needs through comprehensive screenings and formal assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans addressing a range of communication disorders
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services to K-5th grade students in both individual and small group settings
- Document student progress, maintain records, and contribute to IEP meetings with actionable input
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to foster a supportive learning environment that nurtures every student’s potential
- Educate and provide resources to staff and caregivers to reinforce carryover of skills outside of therapy sessions
