The positions are set to begin ASAP and extend through June 2027, offering a consistent weekly assignment of 37.5 hours.
Preferred candidates have at least one year of school-based SLP experience and are ready to step in as a valued partner to the main SLP across assigned sites. Each assignment supports high-need caseloads in elementary schools located within a reasonable distance from each other. Specific site allocation may vary depending on the current needs at each school, ensuring a dynamic and collaborative workflow.
Key Requirements:
- Active North Carolina SLP license
- Current educator certificate
- Minimum one year of SLP experience in a school setting
- Ability to work onsite at various elementary schools
- NPI number and NC Tracks registration before start date
- Successful DCDEE fingerprinting and SOR check clearance
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language services to students with diverse needs
- Manage IEP-based caseloads in partnership with existing SLPs
- Maintain detailed records and progress notes
- Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, school staff, and families
