School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Pittston, Pennsylvania

Make an immediate impact supporting students in a school-based setting in northeastern Pennsylvania. This full-time contract role provides 35 hours per week, and part-time candidates will also be considered. The position begins as soon as possible and continues through August 7, 2026.
You will initially be covering maternity leaves in Lackawanna County before transitioning in the spring to work with itinerant students in the Dunmore area. The work is entirely onsite (no remote or virtual options), so reliable transportation is essential.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, active Pennsylvania SLP license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) is mandatory
- Prior experience delivering services in school-based settings
- Ability to obtain or complete all PA school clearances
- Experience supporting a diverse student population a plus
- Dependable, with reliable transportation for local travel as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments and develop individualized therapy plans
- Provide direct intervention to students based on IEP goals
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Adapt services for both short-term coverage and itinerant assignments
- Communicate effectively and professionally with school staff and administrators
