School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Cicero, New York
Make an impact supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic educational setting near Cicero, NY. This contract position is perfect for professionals interested in providing services across multiple sites, with two full-time SLP opportunities in the Onondaga area and a part-time role available in Cortland County.
Your skills as a certified SLP-CCC will help students achieve their communication and learning goals. You’ll collaborate with a supportive school team, provide personalized therapy, and contribute to enriching each student’s educational journey.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility for licensure) as required
- Previous school-based experience preferred, but new graduates with strong skills are encouraged to apply
- Ability to manage caseload efficiently, while providing quality support
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students for speech, language, and communication concerns
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation per school and regulatory requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goal setting and progress monitoring
- Engage in professional development opportunities and contribute to team initiatives
