This role focuses on delivering expert speech-language services to 9th-12th graders with 504 plans and IEPs. Based in a welcoming school environment near Cicero, IL, you will build meaningful relationships while fostering communication growth for approximately 45 students.

The upcoming 26-27 school year offers a part-time schedule of 2-3 days per week, allowing for a healthy work-life balance and ample time to focus on student success. Your expertise in school-based therapy will be valued and supported, as you collaborate with staff, families, and other professionals dedicated to student achievement.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Illinois state licensure and ASHA certification (CCC-SLP)
  • Previous experience in a school setting, specifically with IEP/504 plans, preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Ability to independently manage a diverse caseload of high school students
  • A commitment to equity, inclusion, and student-centered practices

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech-language assessments and evaluations
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
  • Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy for students with 504s or IEPs
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to multidisciplinary IEP meetings
  • Collaborate closely with educators, families, and support staff to maximize student potential
  • Provide guidance and resources to teachers and caregivers
