Qualifications and Skills
- Active SLP License in Illinois
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Support Personnel Endorsement/PSC credential
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Ability to work effectively with K-12 students of diverse backgrounds
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine student speech and language needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Deliver targeted therapy to students, tracking progress toward specific goals
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student outcomes
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in meetings and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment
