Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Chula Vista, CA
An exciting contractual opportunity is available for skilled Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs) to support a high school caseload for the upcoming school year. This position is based near Chula Vista, CA, with options for both full-time (37.5 hours per week) and part-time schedules—ideal for those looking for flexibility in their professional lives. Clinical Fellows (CFYs) are warmly welcomed, making this a great chance to complete supervision requirements while gaining hands-on school-based experience. Qualifications/Experience:
- Valid California SLP or SLPA licensure
- Appropriate credentials: CCC-SLP, CFY, or SLPA certification
- Background in pediatrics, particularly working with high school-aged students
- Prior experience in school or healthcare settings preferred
- Competency with teletherapy modalities is a plus
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of high school students, providing direct and consultative speech and language services
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
- Conduct assessments and maintain accurate documentation of student progress
- Collaborate with educators, families, and allied professionals to foster student achievement
- Support and integrate teletherapy services as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support
