School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Chicopee, Massachusetts
This opportunity is for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to work in a specialized high school program designed for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences. The role focuses on providing personalized, supportive education outside traditional settings, helping students build skills for greater independence.
Location:
- Ludlow, MA (assignment based at the high school; client office in West Springfield)
Position Details:
- Contract term from approximately August 27, 2026, to June 22, 2027
- 32.5 hours per week
- Caseload includes supervising a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Program involved: Compass High Program at Ludlow High School
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy tailored to high school students with ASD and learning differences
- Collaborate with educational staff and support team members
- Supervise and guide the work of an SLPA within the program
- Maintain documentation and comply with state requirements for school-based SLPs
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred or required as per state regulations
- Experience working with students on the autism spectrum or with learning differences in school settings
- Familiarity with school-based speech therapy protocols and educational collaboration
