Part Time School Speech Language Pathologist - Chicago, IL
School Speech Language Pathologist | Chicago, IL area:
SLP needed to complete the current school year and next school year serving students. This contract position, located in the Chicago, IL area, offers the opportunity to support students in a specialized educational setting with a focus on occupational therapy services.
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: End of school year
Will be the same for the 26/27 school year
Must be Bilingual in Spanish
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services tailored to the needs of middle/high school students as well as one adult learner within a self-contained classroom.
- Collaborate with educational and support staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans to meet evolving needs.
- Document all services and maintain compliance with school policies and state regulations.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to support student success.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid SLP license applicable in IL.
- Experience working with school-aged children, preferably middle and high school students.
- Familiarity with self-contained educational programs and individualized educational plans (IEPs).
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and school staff.
- Ability to begin work immediately and commit to the assignment through June 2026.
