Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Chicago, IL

Qualifications and Skills:
- Active Illinois (IL) Speech-Language Pathologist license required
- Professional Educator License (PEL) must be current
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
- Comfortable working with diverse age groups, from early childhood to young adult
- Excellent organizational, communication, and collaborative skills
- Commitment to in-person, onsite work for the full assignment duration
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs
- Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans tailored to individual needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records of therapeutic interventions and student outcomes
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and student evaluation processes
- Adapt therapy approaches to best fit students’ developmental and academic levels
