You will be supporting a caseload of 35 students, most of whom present with specific learning disabilities—not intellectual disabilities—allowing you to focus your expertise in tailored interventions and progress monitoring. This part-time assignment spans three days per week, aligning well with professionals seeking a flexible yet impactful work schedule, with a start as soon as possible and extending through late May.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current Speech-Language Pathology license and PEL eligibility in Illinois
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
  • Demonstrated experience in a school-based setting, preferably with high school students
  • Strong collaborative skills for working alongside educators and support staff
  • Ability to develop, implement, and document individualized education plans (IEPs)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders within the high school population
  • Collaborate with teachers, support teams, and families to deliver holistic student support
  • Maintain detailed and compliant records of student progress and services
  • Provide consultative services and advocate for student needs in multidisciplinary meetings
