School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Chicago, Illinois

This opportunity is ideal for a credentialed Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) with a passion for supporting learners with specific learning disabilities. You’ll work with a manageable caseload of 35 students, providing key interventions to help them succeed academically and build crucial communication skills.
This role is part-time, with a set schedule of three days per week, allowing for excellent work-life balance. The contract runs from your ASAP start date through May 27th, aligning with the academic calendar, and focuses primarily on high school-aged students.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Active Professional Educator License (PEL) required for Illinois
- Experience in school settings, particularly with high school students
- Strong background in supporting individuals with specific learning disabilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with staff and students
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to assigned students
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities
- Document progress and maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations
- Engage effectively with families and caregivers regarding student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student success planning
