Speech Pathology - Chicago, IL
A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with certification is needed to support a special education program serving K-8 students with social and emotional disabilities in Chicago, IL. This in-person contract role requires a licensed professional to provide essential speech-language services within a school setting from the start date ASAP through June 2, 2026.
Location:
- Chicago, Illinois
- School environment (K-8)
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy to approximately 30 students diagnosed with social/emotional disabilities
- Deliver services as indicated on IEPs, typically 30 minutes weekly or 120 minutes monthly per student
- Collaborate with special education staff and take part in a supportive co-op environment
- Maintain required documentation and ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations
Qualifications:
- Current Illinois professional license in Speech-Language Pathology
- Possession of a Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Ability to work in-person full time (35 hours per week)
- Experience with K-8 student populations, particularly those with social/emotional disabilities
