Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Charlestown, Rhode Island

This contract opportunity spans the 2026-2027 school year, running from early September to mid-June, with a flexible schedule of just two days per week—giving you meaningful work that fits your life.
You’ll work primarily with preschoolers within a PK-8 setting, contributing to a creative and supportive educational environment. Experience with AAC devices and students diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder is highly valued, as you’ll help design and implement communication strategies that open doors for young learners.
Key Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state SLP license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
- Experience providing SLP services in school-based or pediatric settings
- Proficiency supporting students who use AAC devices
- Demonstrated skill working with children diagnosed with ASD
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver therapy sessions in alignment with IEP goals
- Work collaboratively with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams to foster student growth
- Maintain accurate records and contribute input for progress meetings and documentation
- Support inclusion and access to communication for students with complex needs, particularly those in PK
