A part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in Mattoon, IL, offering an opportunity to work within a school setting. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment and individualized therapy to approximately 15 students, addressing speech and language disorders.
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to student needs.
- Utilize AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) tools and strategies to support student communication, with preference given to candidates who have experience in this area.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Prepare and maintain detailed records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology with CCC-SLP credential.
- Valid Illinois state licensure to practice as an SLP.
- Experience working in pediatric and school settings.
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred.
- Background or experience in healthcare or pediatrics is a plus.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Employment type: Contract, with part-time hours initially and potential for renewal into a full-time role serving 45-50 students in the following academic year.
