Pediatric SLP in Palatine, IL
This full-time, onsite position is for a certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at a K-12 school in Palatine, IL, specializing in supporting students with adverse and aggressive behaviors. The role requires comfort working in an environment where students may exhibit self-harm, property destruction, elopement, and aggression. Candidates with a CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) or those in their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are encouraged to apply.
Key Qualifications:
- Certified SLP credentials, including experience or certification in pediatrics and school settings
- Willingness to work with students exhibiting challenging behaviors
- Ability to work full-time, with staff hours from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Strong communication and teamwork skills within a school and residential program environment
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group speech-language therapy to K-12 students
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement treatment plans
- Monitor progress and maintain detailed documentation of student development
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet the needs of students with behavioral challenges
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall well-being and success of the program
