This role involves working as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a school setting, with a focus on supporting students through direct therapy services. Key Qualifications:
- Valid West Virginia SLP License and Teaching Certification OR West Virginia SLPA License
- Experience or training in school-based speech therapy services
- Familiarity with teletherapy methods is a plus
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) or completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) beneficial
- Ability to deliver evidence-based speech and language interventions tailored to student needs
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language assessments and interventions
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver therapy services including in-person and potential teletherapy sessions
- Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with school and state standards
Location and Schedule:
- Position based in Charles Town, West Virginia
- Full-time; 35 hours per week
- School-year assignment for 2025-2026
