Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Eligibility for Alabama licensure and ASHA Clinical Fellowship (CFY)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- A passion for child-focused interventions and collaborative teamwork
- Ability to adapt therapy plans based on student needs
- Previous school-based experience or practicum strongly valued
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess students to identify speech, language, and communication challenges
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in collaboration with educators and families
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy, both one-on-one and in small groups
- Monitor progress, adjust interventions, and maintain accurate records
- Consult regularly with teachers, parents, and support staff on strategies and student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teamwork
- Maintain compliance with state, federal, and district documentation requirements
