Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required
- Current or pending ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Valid and active state licensure for Speech-Language Pathology (or ability to obtain)
- Experience or training in pediatric speech-language services, ideally within school environments
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, staff, and families
- Dedication to fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning atmosphere
Responsibilities:
- Provide evidence-based speech-language therapy to students with varying communication needs
- Assess, diagnose, and monitor student progress through formal and informal evaluation tools
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and regulatory standards
- Offer support during IEP meetings and contribute to goal-setting for each student
- Deliver engaging and age-appropriate therapy sessions, adapting strategies to meet diverse learning styles
