Travel School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Centralia, Illinois
A full-time opportunity is available for two Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) clinicians interested in serving students in a travel capacity. These positions are based in Centralia, Illinois, providing the chance to work in diverse school settings with opportunities for professional growth.
Position Overview:
- Two full-time roles, traveling to schools within the Centralia area
- One position supporting students in grades 4th through 8th
- One position working with early childhood, kindergarten, and 1st-grade students
- Focus on providing pediatric speech-language pathology services in educational settings
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) or eligibility
- Experience or interest in pediatrics and school-based speech-language pathology
- Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates are encouraged to apply
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and educational staff
- Flexibility and enthusiasm for travel-based assignments
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders among school-aged children
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaboratively implement therapy strategies
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy approaches as needed
- Work in partnership with teachers, parents, and school personnel to support students’ communication needs
