As an SLP in this setting, you’ll collaborate in a collegial environment with two experienced therapists on-site, expanding your skill set in a supportive space. Working with K-6th grade students on a moderate to severe caseload gives you first-hand exposure to diverse practice approaches, which is invaluable for building a dynamic, well-rounded resume. The schedule—starting as early as 7:30-8:00 am and ending by 2:45-3:45 pm—allows you to maximize work-life balance, so you can make the most of your stay.

Desired Experience & Qualifications

  • Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • California SLP licensure (or eligibility)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or CFY candidates encouraged
  • Pediatric, school-based, or healthcare SLP experience preferred
  • Experience with moderate-severe caseloads a plus
  • Strong collaboration and documentation skills
  • Open to on-site placements only

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct SLP services to K-6th grade students at one school location
  • Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and maintain progress data
  • Collaborate with school staff and fellow therapists
  • Communicate effectively with students and families
  • Participate in IEP meetings
  • Support students in achieving educational and social milestones
