Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Michigan SLP license or eligibility (CCC or CFY welcome)
- For SLPAs: State certification required
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Comfortable working with K-12 student populations
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to create, implement, and adapt Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Compassionate approach to diversity and varying student needs
Role Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement therapy plans tailored to each student’s goals
- Document progress and maintain clear, compliant records
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families to maximize student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Support a positive and inclusive classroom environment for all learners
- Utilize evidence-based interventions and digital resources as needed
