School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | California, Maryland
Discover a rewarding opportunity to support young learners as a Speech Language Pathologist serving an Infant and Toddler Program near Leonardtown, MD. This contract-based role focuses on providing transformative interventions to children in an itinerant setting, with travel between locations compensated by paid mileage. As part of a supportive and collaborative team, you'll enjoy a flexible schedule—choose 2-3 days per week, with a total of 15-24 hours. The position is available immediately and extends through July 1, 2027, offering consistency and room for meaningful student connections.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current, active Speech Language Pathologist license from the state of Maryland
- Background in school-based settings, preferably serving infants and toddlers
- Open to both SLPs holding their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Experience in an itinerant or multi-location environment is a plus
What You'll Do:
- Deliver targeted speech and language therapy to infants and toddlers within a supportive school program
- Travel between sites as needed, with mileage paid
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to foster communication development
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation in accordance with program standards
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing student progress monitoring
