Desired Qualifications:
- Valid SLPA license or certification in the state
- Previous experience working with children in educational or clinical settings preferred
- Understanding of speech and language development and disorders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow treatment plans and work under a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist’s supervision
- Strong organizational skills and the flexibility to adapt to diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized and group speech-language therapy sessions as outlined by supervising SLP
- Collect data and document student progress toward communication goals
- Assist in screening, assessment, and preparation of therapy materials
- Communicate regularly with staff and families regarding student progress and strategies for support
- Contribute to a positive school culture by building rapport with students and collaborating with teachers and other professionals
- Maintain compliance with confidentiality and district procedures
