A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a full-time contract position providing medical leave coverage from October 26 through December 22 in Buzzards Bay, MA. This role serves students in grades K-3 at a single school site and manages a caseload of 26 students.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering speech-language therapy services to K-3 students in accordance with individual education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support student communication goals
- Maintaining thorough and timely documentation of services and progress reports
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to student evaluations as needed
Qualifications:
- Valid SLP certification and licensure appropriate for school settings
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred
- Experience working with early elementary school students
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage time effectively, including allocated report writing periods
Work schedule:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM
- Lunch break from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM
- Additional half-hour on Tuesday and Thursday for report writing
This position offers the opportunity to support students’ communication development within a structured school environment on a temporary basis.
