This contract position is dedicated to serving as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at two middle schools. As the lead SLP, you’ll collaborate with educational teams and oversee a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) who will assist in direct service delivery.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid State SLP license and current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to oversee and mentor SLPAs
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment for diverse student populations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide assessments, diagnostics, and interventions to middle school students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Supervise and guide the SLPA to ensure high-quality delivery of services
- Develop Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals, participate in meetings, and maintain student records
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families for holistic student support
- Remain up to date with best practices and continue professional development in speech-language pathology
