Step into an essential school-based Speech-Language Pathologist position, supporting students in the Buffalo, NY, area on a contract assignment. We are seeking two SLPs to cover leave of absence needs in vibrant educational settings. What We're Looking For:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) required
- New York State teaching certification and current state SLP license
- Previous experience in a school environment preferred
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Assignment Details:
First Opening:
- Full-time, 12-week assignment (late October through late January)
- Serve students at a high school (primary) and a non-public school (approximately 70/30 split)
- Provide 7-8 therapy sessions per day
- Includes one duty-free lunch period and dedicated planning time
Second Opening:
- Full-time, 12-week contract (late November through late January)
- Focused in a middle school setting
- Conduct 7-8 daily therapy sessions
- Includes lunch period relief and scheduled time for session planning
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students
- Conduct evaluations and write reports in accordance with IEP goals and state requirements
- Collaborate closely with educators, staff, and families to support student progress
- Maintain detailed documentation and case notes
- Attend IEP and team meetings as needed
