Pediatric School-Based SLP | Meriden, Connecticut
This full-time Speech Language Pathologist opportunity involves working a K-12 caseload in an extended summer program within a school setting located in Meriden, CT. The position is on a contract basis, serving students across a variety of grade levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to K-12 students during the extended summer program
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support communication development and academic success
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and therapy sessions
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding special education and therapy services
Desired Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience in pediatric speech-language pathology within school and healthcare settings
- Comfort with teletherapy modalities in addition to in-person therapy
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred for newer clinicians
- Familiarity with best practices for schools and working with K-12 student populations
- Strong communication and organizational skills to effectively manage caseloads and multidisciplinary collaboration
