Job Description
- School-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Full-time position for the 2026–2027 school year
- Conduct speech-language evaluations to determine student eligibility for special education services related to communication disorders.
- Assist in the identification, eligibility determination, and placement of students with speech and language impairments.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to support student progress and compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students with a variety of communication needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student achievement.
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and Medicaid billing (if applicable) in accordance with district and state requirements.
- Caseload includes students requiring evaluation, therapy, and ongoing IEP support.
- Ages served: Pre-K through 12th Grade
- Additional details regarding the caseload and school assignment will be provided during the interview process.
Requirements
- Active Washington Speech-Language Pathologist License (or eligibility to obtain prior to the start date)
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows may be considered based on district needs
- Washington Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certification or ability to obtain, if required by the district
- Previous school-based experience preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Interview Process
- 10–15 minute screening call with a ProCare Therapy recruiter
- 20–30 minute virtual interview with the partnering school district
- Offers are typically extended within 24–48 hours following the district interview
