Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Lowell, MA
An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support an elementary school caseload in Lowell, MA. This contract position offers full-time (40 hours/week) and part-time (20 hours/week) options with a start date ASAP through June 30, 2026. The role involves providing direct speech and language services, conducting assessments, writing reports, and collaborating with parents and teachers as part of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer speech and language assessments and deliver therapeutic services to elementary students
- Develop, write, and review IEP goals and documentation
- Conduct consultations with educators and families to support student progress
- Communicate effectively with parents and teachers to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain compliance with school policies including CORI background checks and fingerprinting
Qualifications:
- Active MA state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist is mandatory
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; candidates completing Clinical Fellowship (CF) are considered
- Proven experience working in school-based settings with diverse elementary caseloads
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective consultation and documentation
- Must be available to work onsite due to caseload necessities; SLP Assistants (SLPAs) are not accepted for this role
This position requires successful completion of a CORI background check and fingerprinting. Interviews will be conducted via Zoom for convenience.
