School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Blue Springs, Missouri
Step into a rewarding role supporting students’ communication growth in a collaborative school environment. This onsite contract opportunity offers the chance to provide dedicated speech-language pathology services to students across high school and middle school settings, shaping positive outcomes throughout the school year.
You’ll work full-time, from 9:00 am to 4:40 pm, Monday through Friday, with your week divided between Liberty High School (serving approximately 11 students in specialized classrooms) and Heritage Middle School, plus the possibility of providing support at another building in the district. The schedule is designed to foster close connections with students and staff, while also giving you the variety of engaging with different age groups and needs.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Experience providing speech-language services in educational settings preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to support students in specialized and general education settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to students in both high school and middle school settings
- Support specialized classrooms at Liberty High School three days per week
- Offer “overflow” speech services at Heritage Middle School and another possible campus two days per week
- Collaborate with educational teams, families, and administrators to develop and implement IEP goals
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and service delivery
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive school environment
