Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders from a regionally accredited institution
  • Valid Professional Educator Certification
  • In-depth understanding of laws and regulations related to special education and regulated programs
  • Familiarity with assessment tools – both medical and psychological – for evaluating the needs of children with disabilities
  • Strong ability to interpret laws, analyze data, and implement compliant practices
  • Knowledge of terminology relevant to physical and learning challenges in school-aged children
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Preferred: ASHA Certification and ABSESPA Licensure

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language pathology services to pediatric and adolescent students in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements
  • Evaluate and diagnose communication disorders using standardized instruments
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Maintain thorough documentation and ensure data-driven service delivery
  • Share insights and best practices in meetings and through consistent communication
  • Stay current with developments and legal updates in special education
