This contract position is available from approximately December 13th through February 25th, serving a caseload of around 65 students in grades 3-12. Your day will start at the junior high/high school from 7:15 to 9:00, then transition to S.S. Palmer from 9:00 to 2:30, following a steady and predictable schedule throughout the assignment.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Active and valid state licensure for Speech-Language Pathology
- School-based SLP experience preferred; new graduates with relevant practicum may be considered
- Strong collaborative skills for working with teachers, staff, and families
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and adapt therapy approaches for varying student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and create individualized treatment plans
- Deliver direct and indirect therapy services for students in grades 3-12
- Collaborate with special education staff and classroom teachers to support student progress
- Document student performance and maintain accurate therapy notes in compliance with school requirements
- Attend IEP meetings, providing recommendations and updates as needed
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere
