Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Licensed (or eligible) as a Speech-Language Pathologist as required for schools
- Prior experience working with pre-K or early childhood populations preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to pre-kindergarten students, delivering services in accordance with IEP requirements
- Conduct assessments and participate in eligibility/placement meetings for referred students
- Develop individualized treatment plans and therapeutic strategies tailored to each child’s needs
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including teachers and parents
- Communicate effectively with parents, educators, and other professionals regarding student progress and strategies for support
- Adjust service delivery as additional referrals are received and caseload increases
