Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state license to practice in Michigan, or eligibility to obtain
- Previous school-based experience preferred, but not required
- Strong assessment, intervention, and individualized education program (IEP) planning skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to partner effectively with students, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to students with diverse speech, language, and communication needs
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and re-evaluations to identify service needs
- Develop and implement tailored treatment plans in alignment with IEP goals
- Participate in IEP meetings, conferences, and collaborative planning with educators and families
- Maintain accurate documentation of services, progress reports, and data collection
- Support teachers with strategies and resources to foster student communication in the classroom
