Speech Language Pathologist in Berlin, MD

Step into a rewarding contract role supporting young learners as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist beginning in August 2026. In this full-time position, you’ll work collaboratively to serve a caseload of 40-50 students from PreK3 through 3rd grade, alongside another dedicated SLP. The schedule runs Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 3:00pm, allowing for a balanced routine with your evenings free.
Responsibilities for this role include:
- Delivering comprehensive speech-language services to students with mild to moderate disabilities
- Providing assessment, diagnosis, and ongoing therapy tailored to individual student needs
- Collaborating with educators, families, and other support staff to integrate speech and language strategies within the classroom
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of student progress and therapy notes
- Participating in IEP meetings and helping to develop individualized education plans
- Implementing evidence-based interventions and adapting plans based on student outcomes
- Supporting communication skill development to enhance participation and success in the school environment
Qualifications and experience sought:
- Current Maryland Department of Health SLP certification
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly desirable
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Enthusiasm for working with children ages PreK3 through 3rd grade
- Ability to adapt approaches for students with diverse learning needs
