Key Details:
- Contract duration: ASAP through June 16, 2027
- Weekly schedule: 32.5 hours
- Caseload: Serve 50 elementary students, with emphasis on augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) in a self-contained classroom
- Location: Onsite only
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Minimum of three years’ experience as a school-based SLP
- Demonstrated expertise supporting AAC users, including device programming and user training
- Experience managing diverse caseloads, particularly within self-contained learning environments
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with teachers, school staff, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to assigned students
- Complete assessments, develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), and document student progress
- Collaborate closely with teachers, aides, and multidisciplinary teams to develop AAC strategies and communication supports
- Provide training and ongoing support for staff and families regarding AAC devices and best practices
- Stay current with relevant professional standards and participate in school-based meetings
