Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Active state license to practice as an SLP in California, or eligibility to obtain
- Prior experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and meet students’ diverse needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ speech, language, and communication abilities
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address students’ goals
- Provide direct and indirect speech and language services
- Collaborate with teachers, special education teams, and families to support student success
- Maintain accurate records of progress, treatment, and compliance
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning
- Educate school staff about speech and language disorders, as needed
