Preferred Background and Requirements:
- Valid Illinois SLP license and Professional Educator License (PEL) are required
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Demonstrated success with early childhood populations
- Strong collaboration skills for working with families and educators
- Excellent documentation and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and provide direct speech-language therapy to early childhood students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers and multidisciplinary teams to support students' development
- Consult with families regarding progress, strategies, and resources
- Maintain timely and accurate records in accordance with school and state requirements
